starting a prolife ministry by margi moriarty

Step 1: Pray and ask God to give you His heart for the unborn. (I have a list of "Recommended Scriptures to Study" available).

Step 2: Take time to get informed on the subject. (A "Recommended Reading List" is available for the asking).

Step 3: Be willing to watch a video of an abortion. (I recommend "The Harder Truth" from The Center of Bioethical Reform).

Step 4: Talk with other Vineyard pastors who already have a ProLife Ministry in their church.

Step 5: Gather others in your church who want to be active in a ProLife Ministry in some way, to pray together about how God can use you to make a difference in this area (my group meets the first Saturday of every month from 10:00-11:45 a.m.)

Step 6: Hold an annual service at your church called a SOHL Day. (Sanctity of Human Life) (Contact Focus on the Family for their SOHL Day packet at (800)A-FAMILY or www.family.org and/or I would be happy to share what has worked for us for the past five years. Step 7: Get on the mailing list for your state's Right to Life's Newsletter and then read it when it comes in the mail. (It's a quick read).

Step 8: Let me know when you start a ProLife Ministry in your church or ask someone to lead one so I can celebrate with you and network with other Vineyards who are participating in this ministry (my contact info. is in step 6).
