We want to leave a legacy for the next generation. Psalm 71:18 NIV says "Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come."

Dreaming Beyond is the theme for our Great Lakes Region Retreat in September 2026.  The question is “Dreaming Beyond what?” 
My current vision?  Yes, sort of.  My contemporaries?  Perhaps. 
Let me explain.  Acts 13:36 says, “Now when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep…”  
David served his generation, but David’s vision went beyond his own generation.  A desire filled his heart that, had he been permitted to fulfill it, would have been his magnum opus.  But building the temple was for the next generation. David envisioned it, worked toward it, and even provided for it.  His joy was in knowing his son would complete something he could not.  So, in a sense, David carried a dream that went beyond his lifetime. That’s Dreaming Beyond. 
This might sound like no more than an old man talking.  And it’s true.  I didn’t see this until I was close to 70.  But seeing it now and contemplating it for the past six years, I’m convinced that we all must dream beyond our own lifetimes, however young, in order to fulfill God’s purpose for us in our own generation.   

We will eat, laugh, worship and learn together at Maumee Bay Lodge and Conference Center.
A perfect place to unplug and be refreshed beside the beautiful Lake Erie all inclusive resort. There will be time to enjoy the outdoors, connect with God and each other in this reviving atmosphere. It's time to get away and drop your to do lists!
